These are some photos that I took a weekend or two ago when I was home. My friend Sara and I decided to walk around in an area we don't commonly venture to, and it ended up being really great. I got some pretty good photos and it was nice to simply just walk around and sit by the water. We came across a pretty cool building being worked on, some trains, and a great rock wall. I hope to do this a lot more in the summer. Taking walks is so much fun! YAY!!!

Pink eye
My drawing teacher likes to throw random assignments at us, and this time I didn't mind it. She wanted us to pick a temporary or chronic body ailment to draw with colored pencils. Her example was a pretty awesome drawing of some messed up teeth(I don't really know what was wrong with them). I took the assignment at hand and ventured onto google image search, but was disappointed when the image results weren't nearly as grotesque as I had hoped for (as messed up as that sounds). I finally cam across a picture of some pretty gnarly pink eye that I thought would make a good drawing.
After looking over this relatively disturbing photograph several times I went to work on my own replica of the image. This is what I came up with...
Probably not the best eyeball anyone has ever seen, but I am happy with the result. Although I have been told that drawing from photographs is bad, this seems like more of a color study than anything else. I am excited to do more of these. Next time I'm going to try to go for a dental issue.
